What is it like working with us?

General Questions

We do everything in our power to respond to all emails, phone calls, and RFQs within one business day. Please be mindful of national holidays and weekends.

We quote every project in consideration on your requirements and our availability. Expediting is available upon request.

Our standard turnaround times are:

  • 10 business days for metrology services
  • 6-8 weeks for machining services

To request a quote, simply travel to the RFQ page and submit a request. Make sure to include all the pertinent information so we can complete your quote request as quickly as possible. If we need additional information, we will contact you within one business day.

Easy, all we need to start working is a purchase order. Typically, your metrology or machining representative will receive all POs and other documents to simplify your experience.

In addition to standard Net 30 terms, we have several payment options based on your preferences:

  • ACH/Wire Transfer
  • Money Order

Our legal corporate company name is Fallbrook Technologies Inc., which exists to promote commercialization of the award winning NuVinci® continuously variable planetary technology. Our machine shop and metrology laboratory happens to offer their engineering services to offset the ebbs and flows of internal projects. However, Fallbrook Technologies engineering services is quite the mouthful so we collectively refer to ourselves as FTES.

There is no minimum order. No project is too small for us.

In short, very accurately. Here is a summary of the accuracies of some of our most commonly used equipment:

  • Scanning CMM – 1.6µm
  • Vision CMM – 2.5µm
  • 3D Scanner – 10µm (or better
  • Surface Roughness Tester – 0.05µm
  • Contour Meter – 2µm
  • Optical Comparator – 2.5µm

Yes! In fact, we are GD&T experts. We have three certified technologists and one certified senior on staff.

If your drawings are not exactly GD&T compliant, we will do our very best to inspect accurately to the drawing’s intent. If you are interested in learning more about GD&T, we can provide training classes and drawing review services.

We are happy to offer the following on-site training services:

  • Blueprint Reading for Industry
  • CMM Programming Utilizing Zeiss Calypso

Often, production oriented projects do not require the expense of a full-time CMM programmer due to the repetitive nature of production. Therefore, it is possible to cut costs by utilizing our Zeiss Calypso, CMM programming services either on-site or remotely.
